St. Louis Laying Fiber Under Their Planned Trolley

David Sandel, president of Sandel & Associates, confirms that engineering has taken place to include a duct system for fiber optic cable underneath the Loop Trolley???s tracks. Installation will be included in the request for bids on the trolley???s construction.

St. Louis is including investments for two infrastructures in a single project. I like it. Kansas City should consider doing the same for their planned street car project, but alas it looks like they’ve given Google Fiber the key to the city and have no desire to develop a fiber network of their own.
